Today's ideas
1. The reckless endangerment fueled by self-righteousness. The dangers of such a perspective are cliche in the first place. But its many forms in everyday life are what intrigues me. The unnecessary hero. One no one called for, no one needs, and yet, everyone deserves.
That's what he thinks, anyway. The only person that needed saving, now wearing a costume. Fancying himself as a good guy. A chosen one, a blessed angel, God's own favorite creature.
A self-involved, ignorant prick. Quick to judge and condemn. Judge, jury, and executioner. Incompetent, immature, and foolhardy. Lacking finesse, subtlety, and grace.
Impatient. Overly eager. Angsty.
Just something I thought was interesting. Inspired by real life.
2. The possession of the individual by their ego in a capitalistic environment. An obsession with the self leads to a lonely existence. The walls that protect from the wilderness also imprison, restrict, and, ultimately, suffocate.
More people are alive than ever, but everyone is living in a blurred-out haze. Myopically self-oriented. Suffering from the game they never chose to partake in. Or did they?
Could be a brilliant crescendo for my comic.
3. A people pleaser's breaking point. A lost & lonely child's endless fury. Forever flailing, struggling, and resisting. Always running away and chasing. Anxiety and forced positivity. Desperate and needy. Trying and trying to make friends. Always trying extra hard to treat people well. Always focused on others. Getting close to the breaking point. About to go Berserk. Murderous rage and horror.
Always giving off a lukewarm vibe. Nobody's first choice, no one's favorite person. Sad and lonely. Suffering and hopelessness. Weird. Odd. Different. So obsessed with being different, and then cursed with success. Never really finding your people. Never really connecting meaningfully. Pulled in all sorts of different directions. Way beyond the tipping point now.
Could work well as a feature film.
